Shot in the dark, but guessing folks west of 45 aren't going to see much. Need some rain out here in Cypress, but not Hurricane/TS stuff. NWS has a 60% chance of "showers" for Cypress Wednesday/Thursday morning.
Actually I’m right West of 45 & very near the red zone for winds. Every possible wobble or inch to the west matters a lot to me. I’m just a few streets away from that zone.
I'll have to agree. Watching the news at 6, they showed a very sharp gradient on the west side of the storm for the rain/wind. VERY much depends on how far west she ends up moving on who all will see what.
Thank you to whatever is causing these beautiful breezes flowing through my yard in Tomball. Feels great! Oh, and thank you for making the wind chimes sing@!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

If the models hold, I’m headed to a brick structure on Big Lake (Hackberry side). About 25 miles SSW of Lake Charles

On another note, remember when Marco was forecast to come-in as a Hurricane and Wxman57 had a call of Freeport? Well Marco is approaching and may make landfall pretty close to Freeport after all.
On another note - I hope everyone is prepped and ready for whatever Laura may bring us. We've had some encouraging signs today for the Houston area but even if she makes landfall to our east, we may be right on the edge of the higher winds. It's going to be a close call.
Areas off to the east are about to get nailed. Anyone in low-lying areas from Bolivar to across Louisiana should get to higher ground. The surge is not something to mess with. I hope that tomorrow morning we have the landfall dialed-in, wherever it is, and it holds.
Was hoping for some rain but not even 2 Hurricanes is gonna bring any from sounds of it. Saw where most of Houston viewing area will get less tham 1 inch and areas to the west likely won't see any at all.
