Enjoy the brief remaining window for sleet pellets... already some sunshine breaking through with patches of blue skies in the clouds here in SW Harris County by Beltway 8 and Westheimer. Dry air is quickly filtering in.

So when is our next threat for a sleet pellet to fall? How is feburary looking?
Had a good sleet shower in Surfside Beach. 38 F
Very light snow flurries here at work... saw a crowd of co-workers hovering near a window. Had to look up against a parking garage (between the floors where it is dark) and you could see several tiny white flurries coming down. Didn't last long... few minutes. It looks to be the last "hoorah" of this event as a very thin line of band is moving over the area. Surprisingly, if you're south of I-10 you may have the best chance to see it.

Looks like virga now up here. Dynamics versus the dry air and the dry air is winning-out now.
That cold north wind sure has a bite to it. It felt SO much better outside yesterday. The park was full of people outside yesterday, enjoying the nice weather - not a soul out there today...

LOL. We cold weather lovers have to tolerate disgusting heat and humidity 9 months out of the year. You can wait another 8 weeks for us to enjoy our brief window.Texaspirate11 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 11:47 am Sleet pellets pinged on my deck today by the bay. Fun while it lasted!!!
Okay lets move on to summer now.
Following what is going on across the globe and looking at weeklies, I don’t think we will see consistent warmth until mid-late April. I’m not saying it’s going to be extremely cold, just that we should hang below normal a good while.
Whether I plant in March or April is of no consequence to me.
