Light frost across NW Harris County this morning. Temperatures should warm the next 2 days as an onshore flow develops ahead of the next front expected late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Profiles do not support any wintry mischief with the pre and post frontal light rain at this time.
Freezing temperatures are again expected early Thursday and possibly early Friday morning mainly N of the 59/69 Corridor. Another front is penciled in for the Weekend.

It’s been snowing this for 3-4 days now so who knows
FWIW a majority of the GFS ensembles also show a changeover to snow as far south as the Houston metro area.

If you are looking for weather potentially cold enough to offer wintry mischief, look at the weekend into next week IF we have any moisture to work with. Behind the early Wednesday front, it certainly looks as if we will remain below climatologically normal for a while.

EURO has been hinting at a potential winter storm in Eastern and northern Texas. CMC just showed a major winter storm next Tuesday and Wednesday

I would like to hear what this Wxman fella has to say about the upcoming pattern gong into February. He seems to get it as far as the lack on wintry weather we have down here in Southeast, Texas. The stars have to perfectly align for this type of magic to happen. With that said, It is very rare.
How many measurable 2+ Inch snowfalls have been recorded in the Houston area over the past 100 years?

3 runs of the Euro in a row now have shown great potential. Can we make 4 in a row here shortly? Fingers crossed!
