We got a small shower but not much accumulation. The Heat index is down to 100°F lol

Goodness...decaying front, extremely high PWATs, lift and low convective temperatures..I just hit a thunderstorm that had blinding rain..tropical downpour and urban steet flooding. Yes, Jason..wowzers

Looks like we’re about to have a busy day. San Antonio has been dealing with flooding and also there’s some flooding going on N of Madisonville. Like I mentioned yesterday, lots of energy out there.

0.43 in of rain this morning IMFY with a lot of lightning. 0.98 inches at the airport. Just west of town 2-3 inches.
It looks like a sea breeze - more like sea tsunami down near Victoria. The atmosphere feels turbocharged.

Same set up as yesterday as this moves into our area from the south. Slow movers, efficient rain makers ( high moisture content) and tropical downpours. Urban street flooding is a possibility

GFS says hold you’re horses, it keeps any big heat ridge weak and very quickly shifts the heat ridge well off to our west, by day 10 its already bringing back rain dhances with some decent mid level disturbances moving in from the east. It’s hilarious how predictable models are becoming. Showing extreme, endless heat across texas , only to start trending back toward a wetter regime. This heat ridge is transitory, not permanent
