Yeah, don't remind me of the 2023 El Nino summer. Or 1998.

Yeah, but more times than not, El Niños do produce above average rainfall around here. There’s always those few exceptions, though.

Said exception had better not be this Summer, or I'm going to riot.

1998 went from El Nino to La Nina.

Summer 2004 and 2006 were wet and El Nino was developing.

FROPA is moving on through.

There's a chance of rain tonight, but I'm a bit skeptical. DPs should move to about 50°F for a few days. Enjoy it while you can!

Tuesday afternoon is our next chance of rain.

Sorry to interrupt your weekend, but we wanted to update your expectations for rainfall later today and tonight. There are some indications that these showers may overperform a little bit, and that isolated locations in Houston may see 3 or more inches of rainfall.

Direct quote from the link:

'You might be thinking "why did he write two paragraphs about
something from the past?!" I do it for the love of the science! :)
Since Tuesday is Big Word Day, I can officially say that science is
supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! I can`t use more than one big
word though because of my hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia.
Before y`all ask, yes spell check did just give up on that one.'
