That should make great starwatching weather.don wrote: ↑Fri Aug 29, 2025 10:14 am Front moved through yesterday with a quick .50 of rain, expecting highs to only reach about 73F today. We had a very wet August here. I received over 6 inches of rain this month. Also The ICON has the strong front that the EURO shows next week making it all the way to the coast. Fwiw

It is Brutally hot out there today. Sheesh. Can we at least get some clouds over here?

Also, seems like any scattered storms that pop up are chopped right in half by upper level winds on satellite.

Thursday and today have been boiling hot with upper 90s and high DPs.
We had a brief shower. No real accumulation, though...but at least it's in the 80s now, and still very muggy. A chance of showers before game time, but should be brief and Go for the UTSA game.

Yeah, that should’ve been more like a 30% chance of rain. Nowhere near 60.

Good to see you Kludge! The cooler and drier air has be a blessing. Old injuries from my Fire Fighting days along the Houston Ship Channel have caught up to me. I breathe so much easier now!Kludge wrote: ↑Thu Aug 28, 2025 10:52 amYou could get banned for posts like that while we're stuck here in the oven.srainhoutx wrote: ↑Wed Aug 27, 2025 6:39 pm I had a low this morning of 48. The high today was 72 and it's currently 63 at the house.![]()

That's gold, Jerry. Gold.
It's coming down at a 2-3 inch rate now in CLL. It must have been the watering last night! The homestead had only just over an inch of rain in August until today, the last day of the month.

Break on through to the other side.
