Summer is on its death bed in Texas, the pattern of consistent troughiness/ wet and cooler weather looks to extend well into the 2nd week of september, EPO also stays negative through out the entire period , a very unusual pattern for late august/ september, but definitely cant complain given past summers

A nice change in pace with 80s still possible beginning this weekend.
Keep an eye on the FROPA off the coast next week. We're not seeing tropical systems make the journey from the African coast through the Caribbean...bbut the Gulf may have a trick or two left.
However, another front or two after that and tropical worries are over and give me some Fall weather...in time for Fall.

Nice little seabreeze around the boundary. I'm skeptical it reaches north of Hwy 1*5. Maybe the next FROPA on Friday/Saturday.

In the dome for now. Dark clouds with thunder. We’ll see if it fills in.

Bummer. Not a drop, just lots of thunder and another tease. 2nd time I got burned today as we had loud thunder and bright lightning around 5am but that one just missed us too.

I had a low this morning of 48. The high today was 72 and it's currently 63 at the house.

NWS: 70% chance of rain on Saturday.
Any wagers on if it’s still 70% when I wake-up on Saturday morning?

Front moved through yesterday with a quick .50 of rain, expecting highs to only reach about 73F today. We had a very wet August here. I received over 6 inches of rain this month. Also The ICON has the strong front that the EURO shows next week making it all the way to the coast. Fwiw

My yard has just missed out multiple times, but showers around SETX have been more common that recent years and more "normal," whatever that means here.
There's some back door MCS action that could impact the Houston area later this evening. I hope we get lucky - no mas on the lawn watering por favor!
More FROPAS. Send them! 50s at night would be a dream come true.
