12z Euro is a gully washer, next two weeks look to be pretty active across the state and se texas, I could easily see some pretty healthy rain totals adding up across the region over the next 10-14 days, and even looking into May, may be a pretty wet month as well, the ridge looks to stay locked over the western US, im pretty optimistic we wont be going into summer with any significant drought issues, EPS concurs with the idea of a wet may

There's a lot more stability in the air today than the last two days up here.
The Euro, CMC, and HRRR agree. Midweek rains are possible for us in the sensible forecast. Houston has a decent chance tomorrow of rain...and throughout the week with a stalled front.

DoctorMu yeah i think se texas has better chances coming mid week, this first storm system never really impressed me in the sense of it being a rain maker for se texas, its just ejecting too NE, still could see some showers and a stray storm though tommorow
Daytime heating and weak mobile streamer showers developing. We'd need some luck today...but maybe a spotty shower.
I've just mowed the front. Maybe some watering to tempt the rain gods?
I need to put down more high-nitrogen fertilizer anyway - I've been blasting the weeds the last month with weed and feed and pre-emergence (pro level)...and inevitably it takes a toll on the lawn. Especially, because St. Augustine is a domesticated weed. Brazos Valley weeds have adapted to extremely harsh conditions.

It's just too cloudy and stable/boring for heating and lift. If we get more than 2 drops it will be a miracle. Sprinklers are on full blast giving the middle digit to mother nature. If that doesn't tempt her...
CAPE(d) crusader peaks tomorrow afternoon in Houston. We're hopped over - maybe a shower with the FROPA.

Well, my rain chances and forecasted rain totals just went to crap for the week, according to WUnderground.
Nothing here. As expected. The dry line crashed in the wee hours.
A definite maybe for mid-week with the front easing back north...

We ended up 0.22” in Fairfield. Had a decent rain come through around 915-945 or so. Highest rain rate was .5 an hour. Hoping more develops but it’s not looking like much at this point this evening.
Stalled cold front and dry line, FTW? Showers are building nearby. It won't be much without daylight heating as we're under a cloud bank. But a little grass watering.
Yeah. Watch your six. Juicy air is in place and the line of showers is growing more robust.

The line has been slowing down and has stalled. Just as it gets right on my doorstep, within miles.

This whole event looks like it’s turning out to be a huge turd - At least for League City. Ugh!
