kyzs151 CMC, ICON, JMA, Euro AIFS, Euro starting to as well, the GFS is bad at seeing low level shallow cold air, so its definitely too warm, and arctic air in nature wants to sink south first before moving off to the east, alot more guidance is trending west compared to the gfs

Correct. GFS sends the cooler air east. Canadian and the Euro are more aggressive with freezing temps penetrating Texas. The Ensembles split the difference.

We'll see. But I think we're in for a little below average temps for the beginning of Decamber. How long and how cold are not consistently progged yet.

JMA is sending the cold stuff east.

Still good news and consistent with the 6-10 day NWS forecast.

Finally looks like the first freeze of the season will happen here tonight. And Thanksgiving night looks to be in the upper 20’s. Two weeks later than average but better late than never.

Is that large blob of above normal over Siberia? Kinda looks like it. Wonder what’s causing all this global warmth? Going to be really hard to ever get snow down here again in our lifetime it looks like.

I’ll take that bet on snow and give you 100-1 odds that it stays the same decadal wise.
