Sometimes those NOAA fixes are a little off. AF306 will confirm for us. Need to get those tailburners on to make it before the 10 pm advisory. If it's indeed a directional change this early the track will shift by a decent margin relative to how close to landfall we are. So they want to get it right.
fwiw - I told Josh Bryan Beach this morning. One reason I'm sitting at home instead of on the road with him.

Mighty big wink haha. Y’all stay safe down there. Always appreciate your presence on here, along with the other pros and well seasoned folks.
Will get a bit noisy in the western burbs for sure, but MAY not be a full on overflight as was trended earlier.
Edited for caveats. Maybe a slight wobble west?

Everything fully stocked-up here and vehicles all got topped-off today. We’re as ready as can be. My Aunt from Florida is visiting. Her 7:15am flight was moved. She’s about to have a wild finale!
I know this is likely a dumb question, but the only other storm I've experienced at home is Ike, also in the Humble area. Any thoughts on what we should expect up here compared to Ike?
