Gotta give some Lucy props to this broken line. She's putting up a good front. Expect an outflow breeze any second before the leap over us and reforming near Navasota.jasons2k wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 5:29 pmIt is unfortunately not a true squall line. Just a blossoming of individual cells, like a boiling pot of water. There is a real potential for someone to quick up a quick 1/2 - 1" of rain and a couple of miles down the road it's still the Atacama Desert.DoctorMu wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 4:59 pmWelcome to the potential epicenter.jasons2k wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 4:41 pm Looks like a collision of the boundaries will occur in my vicinity around 5:30-6.
The outflow up north is starting to outrun the convection. Always makes me nervous, especially here in Texas where literally every. Single. Ingredient. Must be 100% perfect for a storm to not go poof.
Expecting the line to jump over my house. I wouldn't give up in the HOU area...
August 2022
Ugh this cell just to my north is now shrinking instead of expanding! Please don't do this now!
There's the outflow. I see some clouds doing an end around...
Well, the storm is expanding now. It’s raining 🌧
Hopefully it will rain for more than 10 seconds!!

Intense cells building to the south and east as expected. Still in the donut hole.
Unbelievable...
Unbelievable...
Man El Campo is getting hit hard right now. It’s thundering like crazy at my house. I haven’t heard thunder like this all summer. It’s just going to miss me though a few miles to my south unless some new development pops.
This feels much different than other rain chances we’ve had this summer. I actually feel pretty confident that many of us are going to see some decent rains over the next few weeks. I know we’re all frustrated and don’t believe it’s going to rain but to me this feels much different and I’m pretty optimistic about it. I think we all just need to take a deep breath at this point. Rain is coming folks.
Your turn Houston. Looks like your best solid line in a while. Maybe not Ft Bend but Houston eastward you will see some hefty rain. Neighborhood flooded here in Beaumont and feeder roads I10 just shy of flooding. Strongest rains Ive seen probably this year in Beaumont.

That post is almost 12 hours old and a bit out of context now. I'm up to 1/2" now and counting. Yes, my mood is much better nowCpv17 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 6:24 pmThis feels much different than other rain chances we’ve had this summer. As the rain moves over us the donut hole stays in the same place and grows bigger. I might as well just set fire to the lawn and trees...
One of my neighbors just threw in the towel and started their sprinklers, while the outflow blew over their (fortunately empty) trash container.
Gotta laugh to keep from crying. So predictable...the AggieDome strikes again.
Pebble Creek and south look drenched.
