A certain tv weather personality just said that he didn't think those storms we are seeing entering liberty county right now would make it here - they only look to be increasing in intensity to me, surely with all the heating and sunshine we have had today we would have a pretty good chance, right?

At this point, can it be pretty certainly ruled out of a more northerly track bringing it closer to us here in SE TX? I know a lot of discussions have indicated the TX/MX border as its most northerly potential track.

Kansas "Heat Burst" - Weird
Just saw this article about a heat burst in kansas - where around midnight, the temperature suddenly spiked 20 degrees in a span of 20 minutes - very interesting read!

looking at the source region....nothing really eye popping...granted with all the snow pack the air will not modify as much but I dont think we will be as cold as this last week.....Personally I think we are done this year for extreme cold here in SE TX... time for Tropical weather.... :D Bring it ...
