Re: July 2022
Y’all! We got TWO showers in Angleton today!! Granted they each only lasted about 3 minutes, but it was so dangum exciting, when I walked out on the front patio of my office, about 7 of my residents (I’m a property manager) and our USPS mail carrier were standing out there and we all just stared in ...

Re: June 2022
I’m in Angleton (Brazoria County) and we are days away from burning our well up out here in the country, trying to keep our property somewhat moist to keep EVERY acre from turning into hay…that sucker can come park in my living room for a few days if that’s what it takes to get some rain!!! 😭😭😭 I l...

Re: September 2021: Hurricane Nicholas
Lake Jackson here…I’ll say this, Nick was **MUCH** worse than we were expecting. Actually, we got almost 100% OPPOSITE of what we expected. We were prepared for up to 15”-20” of rain and not much of a wind event—-WRONG!! Oh, it rained, but nothing like expected. No standing water anywhere this morni...

Re: September 2021: TS Nicholas NW Gulf Threat
Damn, I'd rather it be cold and have no power then it be hot and no power We’re in Lake Jackson…chimney is pouring inside, husbands sunroof in his truck is leaking, so the whole interior of his F250 is SOAKED, a tree just fell from the neighbors yard, completely across the street so we’re blocked i...

Re: August 2021
Good morning everyone! I'm usually just a quiet watcher, but I have a question about the possible "something" we're looking at later this week. We have a camping trip planned with all of our Grandkids from Fri-Sun...*IF* this "something" does verify and *IF* we were expecting ANY...

Re: August 2017: Tracking Harvey/Coastal Impacts/Inland Floo
Soooo.... is anyone else totally aggravated by the fact that we are hearing ** NOTHING** about Brazoria County (other than yesterday's evac of the beaches)? It's ALL about Corpus, Matagorda, Galveston....heck, even Louisiana is issuing some evacuations. Everyone AROUND us is being discussed, but bas...

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill
I live in Angleton and we are getting a real kick out of watching all of these weather reports showing Angleton being right smack dab in the middle of the yellows & reds and that we have wind gusts of 30+mph. My driveway is barely damp, I could literally mow my yard without wetting my shoes and ...

Re: Ready For Debby?? Invest 96L
Let me just tell y'all....go ahead & get prepared for whatever "it" ends up being. Whether it's just wind & rain, a depression, a storm or even a hurricane. Why, you ask? Well, it's because I have the world's WORST LUCK EVER!! My life defines Murphy's Law. There is always a black c...

Re: TD 13 Western/Central Gulf of Mexico
Hi guys! I am trying to have a "glass half full" approach to this system bringing us some rain, but it's getting more and more difficult to stay optimistic at this point. So, that brings me to this question....since this little guy is sitting out there churning up the waters, is it going t...

PAUL....SHHHHHHHHH....don't say that so loud! I'm JUST now starting my own business, so I do NOT want to deal with insurance hoop-la so soon. :( Praying for a quiet season for us, especially those of us VERY near the Freeport\Surfside coast. We've dodged some SERIOUS bullets the past few years. Lets...

Re: February Weather. Severe Threat/Arctic Blast/Then Snow?
Hey guys! I've been "sneaking" on here periodically throughout the day while I'm at work, so I'm SURE I've missed alot of talk about what to expect, etc. I'm sorry if I am asking a question that has already been answered (no time to go back and catch up), but what are we looking for here i...

I'm in Angleton and it is POURING - wind is howling - and I have to get out in this in 45 minutes - sigh I am at work in Lake Jackson, just got a hard rain here about 5 minutes ago. Definantly coming in "spurts". Kids are home alone in Angleton and are scared to death because of the torna...
