Re: July 2025
I was just stopping by to report on the Guadalupe flooding. This system is definitely over-performing. It was originally supposed to be mostly sunny today (so said every forecast for today up until yesterday)…

Re: July 2025
Picked-up a couple of inches here. For awhile, it rained as hard as it could. 6” - 9” hourly rain rates. Still nice and mild here. About to put a 15lb. brisket on the egg for tomorrow.
My weather station says “It’s raining cats and dogs” haha

Re: July 2025
I wish we had more rain when we were away. It’s drying out quickly over here. The next several days look dry. I’m OK with the 4th being dry. After that it needs to dump.

Re: June 2025
El Campo and CoCo are and will seem some action from the Barry moisture plume. Unfortunately, I think the action will be limited to West of Brenham and Caldwell. San Antonio, New Braunfels, Austin, Round Rock. Naturally east around Conroe - Huntsville there is some rain as well. We're in the donut ...

Re: June 2025
Looks like rain back home in Texas today. It’s great fishing weather down here in Florida. Sitting in the donut, still. Storms all around. Wishing I were in Florida or NC fishing on salty waters. FL once those easterlies kick in with near daily afternoon showers is gold. It’s been great! Gre...

The pictures don’t do it any justice. The sky was glowing twice as bright and golden IRL compared to the photos.

Re: June 2025
Wow. This could be a setup for some real heavy rains and severe weather with this stalled outflow running up against unspoiled southerly inflow at peak heating.

Re: June 2025
That southern flank blew-up a little south of here. That’s okay. So far, I have had 4.96” of rain for the month of June. The mule palms don’t like wet feet so we could use a break. Never thought I’d ask for a rain break here in the summer but I think we’ve had enough for awhile. At least everything ...

Re: June 2025
Afternoon update from Jeff below. My $.02: the southern flank needs to be monitored, meaning the area outlined in the image above. Seems quite plausible. Ok, Jeffs’s email: Heavy rainfall and flash flooding possible tonight into Thursday mainly northwest of the Houston metro area Monitor heavy rainf...
