Re: July 2025

This was the NWS forecast discussion Thursday night when campers and counselors in Kerr County were preparing to sleep. Tricky, but was it actionable? Kerr County was not included in the flood watch. How many counselors would have had weather alert from NOAA or local forecasts on their smart phones...

Re: July 2025

Id be fine with not seeing anymore rain the rest of the month, just absolutely devastating for central texas folks, one of the worst flooding disasters in many years, I wouldnt mind a big heat dome setting up shop over the state, get that rain out of texas! Most areas in Texas haven’t even seen muc...

Re: July 2025

That cell to the northwest of Austin may be the beginning of tonight's activity? It is a slow moving and strong storm. I think that’s possible, but the mesos aren’t really showing much happening tonight. Warm core event? 16 inches of rain fell in that spot overnight. That’s why I said it’s possible...

If it’s a warm core low, I’d expect it to blow up again overnight tonight into tomorrow morning. San Antonio area could be next in line.

It’s good to see those areas getting rain though. They need it more than us and it’s not even close.

El Campo and CoCo are and will seem some action from the Barry moisture plume. Unfortunately, I think the action will be limited to West of Brenham and Caldwell. San Antonio, New Braunfels, Austin, Round Rock. Naturally east around Conroe - Huntsville there is some rain as well. We're in the donut ...

I don’t like how these storms are moving so fast today. Don’t expect it to be around for more than 5-10 min if you get rain today with the way it’s looking.

Re: June 2025

Today just feels like it’s too cloudy and overcast for anything to really build up, at least down here anyway.
