The 1977 Tenerife Disaster. I am sure some people remember it. It happened in the Canary Islands and involved two Boeing 747s.

583 people died when KLM took off into the Pan Am in heavy fog after Captain Jacob van Zanten misunderstood and took off. Fog often forms in Tenerife Island. It is the deadliest aviation accident. :( :cry:
