I'm looking to buy a weather station that I can view with a mobile app and also on my computer.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Weather station
Depends on your budget and how picky you are. You can get an AccuRite system for about $100-$150 -- they are pretty common. They are decent for amateur use but it won't be as accurate as a Davis. The Davis Vantage Pro II is pretty much the gold standard for home weather systems, and are used extensively in commerce as well, but they start at about $450.
Regardless of what you buy, the key is to have the equipment properly installed. For example, you don't want the thermometer on top of your roof (as, unfortunately, a lot of stations are). It should be 2m up. And the anemometer should be free of wind breakers. This can make the 5-in-1 or 6-in-1 systems a little tricky in residential neighborhoods, because there isn't much space to work with (the best place to have a weather station is on a level, open field).
If you want pinpoint accuracy, you can easily invest over a grand or more in individual professional-grade instruments to get everything setup right. Just like most things, you get what you pay for. It's kinda like buying a camera. Do you want the $150 point-and-shoot, the $500 all-in-one with all the bells and whistles, or a $1000+ SLR with interchangeable lenses?
This is a good reference guide:
