Trip to Corpus Christi

Hello,

Wondering how safe it is to travel to Corpus Christi this Sunday going 59 South from Houston with all the river flooding. Can anyone give me an idea if your in that area if 59 is OK to travel south to Corpus Christi on Sunday. Should I leave on Saturday or not go at all that way?
