It seems like many of the models are still having problems dealing with the extreme cold in Canada... Many of the models have been indicating that the pressure should be dropping along with temps but they are holding strong up north.

It is interesting to see that Midland/Odessa, San Angelo, Norman and Shreveport are all mentioning the possibility of a wintry mix on Thursday. They all suggest that their temps may be too warm as well. And then the discussion begins to turn toward next weekend and another reinforcing shot of cold air and another Upper Air disturbance. Just another boring weather week ahead...

Too bad all that cold air in the northwestern territories is going east. Maybe next year.

Well, the only reason I like the summer time is because of hurricanes. It's same song, slightly different dance. Person 1: Oh look! Models bring in a Cat 6. Person 2: That's impossible! Cat 6 doesn't exist. Person 1: Oh, well but imagine the damage! Person 2: Oh I know...that would be awesome. Mr. T: Uhhhhh, this is stupid. It's all going to Mexico again. All three people: Sigh. I'm ready for winter.

Yes, I'm sure the newbies are up to snuff by now. That is not an official forecast for our area. Not yet, anyway.

This is a problem we have in this area. Weather here is very unpredictable. We don't get frequent bouts of extreme weather. Folks get locked in to a certain pattern, then they begin to assume. Hurricane season is especially dangerous for folks that do that. We should take each event and seperate it from all others.

No no we are all just messing around here. Everyone (at least Srain and I) were agreeing with you. He was just adding some humor into his post. The thing to remember though is sarcasm is sometimes not easily recognized online. Anywaysssss back to weather...
