Possibly Friday if models trend stronger with the potential for ice late Saturday.Kingwood36 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 6:31 pm When do you guys think they will start watches and warnings for the area?
Event. Predicting winrty weather is tough down here. Freeze warnings, I think I would wait too.

We will worry about that early next week. There's a more imminent one right now.

I'm not sure how many people understand how borderline Saturday could be.....
That could go from nothing to Ice Storm warning pretty quickly....

That’s exactly why I mentioned it in my earlier post. Too many people are focused on the Monday event.MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 7:15 pm I'm not sure how many people understand how borderline Saturday could be.....

Yep i mentioned earlier that some of the short range models are trending back towards showing a icing event Saturday night into Valentines day.Earlier runs of the GFS had a pretty potent storm this weekend, but then backed off on it.But if we can get enough lift with the front on Saturday, we could get some wet bulbing bringing us down to freezing.Something to watch for sure.In fact the ICON has temps below freezing north of the 59 corridor on Saturday with precip.MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 7:15 pm I'm not sure how many people understand how borderline Saturday could be.....

I wouldn’t mind a 3 day storm followed by another 2 day storm.

I have rode out these Winter weather event models for many years and its still intense as always but we are getting closer to the event. Interesting days ahead and will be wrapping up the outside faucets Friday.
