NWS keeps waffling in putting rain/snow mix for inland Harris. It is back this evening!

Our storm continues to move south instead ESE like depicted.
Thinking that the mix line can extend to Southern Harris if this continues the next couple of hours.

If that happens, does that mean.the "mix line" moves Farther south than 105?MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 9:19 pm Our storm continues to move south instead ESE like depicted.

I thought the mix bag would be in northern inland Harris to begin with, but now it may be along the South Belt.jabcwb2 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 9:22 pmIf that happens, does that mean.the "mix line" moves Farther south than 105?MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 9:19 pm Our storm continues to move south instead ESE like depicted.

I think southern MoCo will see a few quick bursts of heavy snow after the sun sets. I think they will mix snow with rain from 4/5 until then.Cromagnum wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 9:27 pmYeah, southern MoCo more like it.Kingwood36 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 9:26 pmHe said southern Harris county..105 isnt near southern harris County lol

I’m in southwest MoCo, about 12 miles north of Harris county line.Kingwood36 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 9:30 pmI'm guessing its where you are from..if u r in moco..then to you southern harries would be spring and humble..but I although that of that as Northern Harris and sugarland, pearland, passadena was southern harris....hell who knows lolMontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 9:28 pmI thought the mix bag would be in northern inland Harris to begin with, but now it may be along the South Belt.

Yes, southern Harris would be what you mentioned. I don’t foresee accumulation there, but I do think NW Harris could see some on grass, cars and roofs.

HRRR 00Z run shows a more favorable environment over Harris County towards the end of the event. As with most events here, it is likely going to be a battle between precipitation ending and the upper-environment cooling enough.
