0Z GFS starts to bring the mother load of cold down from Canada in the latter frames.... we'll see if it's a trend.

January 9th/10th has my attention.
Care to elaborate.
Could be a similar setup to what we just dealt with. Rain our way and snow out in the Hill Country. Too far out though so it’s just something to keep an eye on.
Thanks.

If the gfs holds for next Sunday, a 2 hr trip north up I-45 would be worth the trip to see the good stuff!

6z/12z GFS look like the wintry mischief is more north than west. Rain south of Hearne for now. but snow up to the Red River in central and NE TX.

18z GFS has two systems to watch.
You in the Houston area?
One hour southwest of Houston.

Ok. I'm just west of New Orleans. Many times, what the Houston area gets, we get the next day. We are about the same latitude.

Well back to the drawing board - re: gfs 0z
The CMC has it now. Euro up next. I think by Wednesday we’ll know a lot more.
