It doesn’t surprise me. I said last night that I had a gut feeling that Marco was still an option for Texas. Also, the 12z GFS and 12z Euro showed that hard left turn before it reached the coast of LA.

I’m becoming more confident that the overall set up is coming into view with Laura. It’s going to come down to intensity which is a crapshoot to forecast.

12z EURO ensembles.. Notice how the stronger solutions take Laura along the coast of Cuba while the weaker solutions take Laura inland through Cuba. Which causes more disruption to the storms core. And like previous runs the stronger solutions have Laura more west into the middle to upper Texas coast.

May be a silly question but what are the black circles?

It would help if Corpus would quit yelling, "Polo!"

OTOH, if a relatively weak Marco to Texas results in a strong Laura going elsewhere, keep it up!

So I see HEB is starting to limit purchases of bottled water & brisket...also extending hours. Also Governor has issued a Disaster Declaration for 20 Counties including Harris ahead of Marco/Laura. Must be a cane acoming...

I just read on Storm2k that someone said wxman57 has predicted a Freeport landfall as a cat 3. Interesting. I personally didn’t see that post. I haven’t been on there as much as I would like to be so I haven’t read all the posts like I usually would. Too much to keep up with right now.

2 center passes for RECON into Laura suggests the surface low is further S and may pass S of Gitmo over open water. Pressure is lower than the NHC estimate.

I better head to HEB to collect brisket and water, myself...The greater HGX area may be driving up here tomorrow for supplies!

Its a mad house here in Beaumont already today. Krogers os out of water. Perishable food is slim pickings. Went to lowes and generators were flying out the door. An employee had to stand there and hand em out. Did all my prep and food and gas and generator window units, etc Friday thank goodness. Dont forget about those furbabies too! Stock up!
