Is the HGX radar down? My apps wont show anything past about 8 AM. Lake Charles radar works fine though.

Actually, it is if you look at our source region the next couple of weeks coupled with the progression in the Pacific.
My target for a big blast is the 3rd-7th timeframe. Bookmark this and make fun of me or say thank you then

Actually there could be a pretty decent front right before New Years... mid to upper 20’s possibly.MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2019 1:15 pmActually, it is if you look at our source region the next couple of weeks coupled with the progression in the Pacific.

I’ve seen it, but I’m referring to a significant cold front with some staying power in the upper levels. Mid to upper 20s isn’t rare around here. My house hit 28 this morning.

Yeah, same here. That’s why I’m just saying it could be possible for now, but I wouldn’t bank on it.snowman65 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 9:50 amI'll get excited if/when that is still alive within 2-3 days out.....until then.....eehhh........MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 7:06 am

Had a low of 32.
Jeff’s email said a degree or two warmer tonight but the new NWS forecast shows me at 28!! I wasn’t expecting that. Will need to cover the plants tonight.

Funny you say that - I’ve been watching it all evening.
The dew point was 34 a couple of hours ago - now it's 36. The big question is will it drop?

I got down to 29.5F but I covered everything up, so no damage. It least it wasn’t windy. I just might make it through two winters in a row with no damage to the variegated ginger, plumerias, hibiscus, Brazilian red cloak, Belize sage, etc.

Hot on Christmas for the 3rd or 4th year in a row seems like. Humbug.
