Is the COC trying to head back South? Eyes playing tricks?
It has jogged west and W/SW slightly
Yep, a cylconic loop to the SW. It'll loop back around like a pinwheel. Not uncommon.

Why is all the heaviest rain in lousiana
I wouldn't say "all" -- there is a lot of heavy rain around the core, especially along the south and eastern flanks. But there is a lot of rain in LA because it's not uncommon to have feeder bands well north and east of the center, especially in systems like this.

It's not. The heaviest rain is currently in Brazoria/SE Harris and Galveston Counties.

I just got home from work and checked the gauge. So far 0.08” here in central Wharton County.
It looks like the center of the storm is right over George Ranch.

I would say as the evening progresses, those areas are going to be at risk for flooding....

It has definitely hit the brakes big time.
Dumptrucking rain at my home in Rosharon now.
The core/center is really starting to rear its ugly head. Some crazy rainfall rates are showing-up now. It's gonna be a long night.
Forgot to add - the Transtar map includes high water reports now. For now, just one in Brazoria County. I expect this to light-up overnight:jasons wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 7:02 pmHere is a link to TxDot road conditions:Kingwood36 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 6:53 pm So what is it looking like tonight?
