Anyone have better radar to see what is left in the gulf? My phone radar shows hardly nothing
The news just broke in on regular programming and said that Imelda was going to move through quicker than initially thought. Promets? Thoughts on this. I come here for the real scoop!
Radar can’t pick up what’s out in the Gulf. It’s too far away. You have to look at the satellite.Kingwood36 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 4:56 pm Anyone have better radar to see what is left in the gulf? My phone radar shows hardly nothing
To me it looks like the center of the storm is right over Rosharon or just west of there.

What channel/station? I haven't watched any local news in over 2 years now. Perhaps they were attempting to boost their 5 o'clock ratings...

It was FOX, Jim Siebert. I don't care for him much, but was waiting for Judge Judy to come on.srainhoutx wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 5:02 pmWhat channel/station? I haven't watched any local news in over 2 years now. Perhaps they were attempting to boost their 5 o'clock ratings...![]()

Man, it really looks like it took a large jog to the west.

I'm going to "hot link" a live visible loop of Imelda today. It is obliviously clear looking at the loop that we have a purely tropical cyclone making landfall along the Upper Texas Coast. I will remove the link in an hour or so.

That’s a beautiful shot! If this would’ve had another 24 hours out over water I bet it really would’ve taken off.srainhoutx wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 5:33 pm I'm going to "hot link" a live visible loop of Imelda today. Yeah about that northward movement @ 7.
And ch 2 sounding the all clear was a little sad. I get the need to not be overly dramatic but they went the opposite direction.

Potential for core rain tonight.
Officially in NowCasting mode.
Imelda to CLL: My offer is nothing.

I see little movement via radar loop. A wise Grandma once told me "believe nothing you hear and half what you see".
