We just got hammered in Stafford. Our street looked like a river in less than 15 minutes. Had an issue with the water draining in the yard, hubby had to hammer out the neighbor's fence while I cleaned out the debris. Wow! don't let your guard down.

In the October 1994 flood, I had to kick down the fence to let water out of the backyard towards the front and street. It was like a tub full of murky rain water, thigh deep.

Some potential good news. The tops of Harvey is being sheared a bit and it's drawing in a little dry air.

Just in the last hour - the south hemisphere of the core is exposed - and radar returns show little rain on Harvey's wrap around. The Feeder bands will continue to cause havoc, rotating like a pinwheel, but there's a glimmer of hope in slowly ramping down this "cut-off" tropical cyclone.
