June Weather Discussion
Just got a call from my Dad who lives hear San Felipe and Voss saying that all the roads are flooded and a tree has been blown down. Good news is that the storms are weakening.
The Cockroach Ridge strikes again!Ed Mahmoud wrote:HGX area discussion mentions that DEATH RIDGE 2010 should retreat just a smidge Northward, and allow a weak feature and an increase in moisture to apprach from the East.

Looks mighty wet to our E this morning. Certainly appears showers/storms will be into the Metro Area later this morning.

well...we are certainly getting a great deal of thunder and lightning...I hope we we get a little rain to go along with it...at least that would make it worth being awakened at 4 in the morning...

Rains are bit more wide spread this morning. My lawn is grateful for the almost 1 inch of rain yesterday. Hopefully more today as well.

It figures.... I water my yard/plants yesterday evening and wake up to find rain/storms this morning! Wait a minute... I haven't washed my truck in over a week! What does this mean?

Those of us to your west are hoping to get in on the action today. Radar looks promising this morning. We could use some rain before the summer doldrums set in.
Finally!! Some rain....I would not mind more but I am happy with what we got this morning....
Hi sleetstorm! I have been around the board but as a lurker....I figured I would wait until Hurricane Season to come back...That and I had tons of work to do in my yard after our very cold winter...

I understand, SusieinLP. Several of our friends in this weather forum have experienced the same problem. This past winter brougt some rather icy temperatures with it all the way down to the gulf coast for several days & nights during this past January & February which, needless to say, snuffed the life out of some of their plants and mine too. Some of us in this weather forum enjoy freezes but some of our plants that cannot be brought inside or covered simply because they are too large/because they are growing in the ground pay the price by freezing to death.
Collision of outflow boundaries this evening are giving the storms over Harris/Montgomery counties one more shot before the evening cooling does its deed..
Need to keep an eye on the finger of rain that continues to train over basically the same area of near west and southwest Houston.
