not sure who posts to their Twitter feed, but they should know the pyramid/planet alignment post has been debunked since 2007 or before & should be removed - accurate science matters, perhaps now more than ever

Doesn't look like I'll make it down there this year, Steve. Probably won't send anyone there. It's my favorite conference, too. Not good to have Barry kick it off, though. His 20-min talk at a conference last year lasted 90 minutes, eating into the next 2 speakers. "Did I go long"?, he asked...

that does look like an excellent line-up & I would love to hear it all in person. The William Gray Award will be quite an honor, presentation will leave everyone with a lump in their throat, since his passing last April

We'll miss you, but I understand that there will be a great representation from SE Texas and the Upper Texas Coast attending again this year. I believe that Katdaddy and vbhoutex are going as well as Dr. Neil Frank, Bill Read, Katy High School Grad Dr. Rick Knabb and possibly a couple of others. I agree with you that it is my favorite Conference as well. I will be posting links to the Live Broadcast for Phil Klotzbach's 2017 Hurricane Outlook once we arrive so all of the KHOU Weather Forum folks can follow along.wxman57 wrote:Doesn't look like I'll make it down there this year, Steve. A reminder that Katdaddy, vbhoutex and will be travelling Wednesday to South Padre Island for 2017 NTWC. I am expecting some important news regarding what the upcoming Hurricane Season may bring for the Western and NW Gulf Coast. Check in beginning Wednesday night through Friday for updates!

It was an honor to attend the 5th year of the conference. A job well done by Alex Garcia who is the Chief Meteorologist at FOX 29 KABB in San Antonio and Tim Smith who is the Chief Meteorologist at KRGV-TV 5 in Brownsville. Another excellent conference with great people in the tropical weather world. I feel like I am part of the family which is surreal.

A great photo with Dr Neil Frank and his wonderful wife Velma. It has been an honor during the past few conferences to meet Dr Neil and Velma.
