Does it seem as though this year's June, July, and August might be another 2000 temperaturewise?

Is the heatwave still in the forecast - 100+ degrees they were forecasting earlier in the week? I received under an 1 inch of rai here in Baytown/Mont Belvieu - it did my garden good. I picked a bucket full of tomatoes. Time to start the salsa making factory here!!! Woohoo!

Right now its partly sunny with scattered clouds in the sky - warm outside at 12:05 p.m. its 91 degrees. No rainshowers on the radar or the horizon. Indeed a quiet day after yesterdays spinner.

Looks like typical summer weather this weekend with a chance for pop up afternoon T-showers and of course the Heat and Humidity.

Seabreeze trying trying to work inland, also CU field becoming more pronounced in Walker, San Jacinto, and Polk counties. Maybe we'll see some scattered stuff further Southwest later.

Hmm. Seabreeze moving toward southern Harris and new storms developing in Montgomery county. Now we wait to see what happens when (and if) the two meet..

Satellite loop. Southerly flow might be a tad strong for sea breeze storms, but an outflow boundary from the East is always possible.

Strike that, local obs are under 10 mph, sea breeze can still get going. Satellite made them little streamers look like there was a wind.

My bad.

Tie dye satellite still. Groovy, man!

Part of the upper air trough that brought our rain here a few days ago.

Noticeable return of moisture this evening in NW Harris County. Perhaps a better chance for some showers/storms the next day or so…

UPPER LOW WILL START MOVING NE AFTER MIDWEEK
AND OPENING INTO A WEAK TROUGH FRIDAY. NEXT WEEKEND DOES NOT
INDICATE ANY SIGNIFICANT UPPER LEVEL FEATURE OVER THE REGION. 37
I guess the large upper high isn't expected to build back in after the low moves out, maybe daily seabreeze storms through the week?

It would be cool to see a repeat of June 2004 and 2007 or July 2007. They were wet.

Also interesting to note the models continue to show another weakness in the upper ridge developing over Texas this week. QPF bumped up rain amounts for the next five days as well.

Was working outside tonight on our deck at work and noticed a marked increase in the humidity as the night went on. Pretty much betting on increased shower and thunderstorm activity over the next few days.

On a sidenote ....that QPF over Illinois looks quite impressive as well.

Big storm across downtown building west and southwest toward me in Westbury (south of Meyerland). Can hear the thunder now.Only a few miles out. Looks like just some heavy rain. Already had over 2" this past week.

Hearing thunder and the clouds are darkening up from the east .... looks like Houston metro is getting a very good dose of rainfall from this storm.

Looks like some possible pea sized hail just north of I-10 and East of the West Sam Houston Tollway
