Dave was a longtime member of Storm2k and KHOU Weather family. Dave fought a long and hard battle with lung cancer. We will miss you and your late night RECON updates when tropical threats and severe weather reports that needed our attention. So long my friend and RIP. Prayers to his Mom and Dad as well as his large group of extended weather family.

I am heartbroken but happy he is out of pain and in the hands of our Lord.
Rest well, friend and thank you for everything.

He was friends to alot of weather folks. I only knew him for a very short time but he left his legacy on weather and his love for it. Rest in Peace and soar above the clouds.

I will miss him dearly. His wit and banter during hurricane season ( well, heck winter too..LOL) on S2K was great. I really thought he would beat this for he had the heart of a lion. He will be sorely missed.

I first met Dave at Storm2k where he shared his weather enthusiasm and knowledge. Dave was strong and very positive through this fight and I am glad he is is now pain-free and flying with the Angels. One of my best memories is from the Extreme Tornado Tour where Dave was giving me play-by-play information from Emergency Management radio of potential tornadic cells in Kansas. Dave you will be missed but never forgotten. RIP Dave.
