Hi everyone,

OK, so last night a certain "doctor" on our local Fox affiliate butchered the name of our next storm, "Cristobal".

So, just so everyone knows: the correct pronunciation is "cris-TOE-bil" -- with the emphasis on the middle syllable "oh". It is a Spanish name.

It is NOT pronounced "cris-to-BAHL" like 'crystal ball'.

Now you can chuckle every time you hear an OCM or anchor say it like 'crystal ball' . It just sounds silly.

Ummm-kay. Lesson over, kids :-) Have a great day.
