Looks like outflow boundary is pushing South pretty rapidly while the sea breeze is slowly pushing North. If they can stay together they should meet around NW Harris County

Yes sir Srain. See the sea breeze and outflow colliding as well.

A line of broken thunderstorms ahead of a cool front continues to push into SE TX this evening. From looking at the radar it looks like the outflow boundary and sea breeze will collide just N and W of Houston metro within the next hour perhaps leading to additional development.

I had nickel- sized hail at 6:10-6:15. Pretty gusty winds too. The yard is pretty much covered in debris.

After all that, only .13" in the rain bucket.

... and my son is at a swimming exercise with his ROTC at the community pool. They better pull them kids out PRIOR to lightning!

Crazy lightning over here in NW Houston. Many lightning strikes and crazy thunder. Looks like some heavy rain for West Houston

I got a rock :(

The last few rains have managed to just miss the palatial BiffB estate here on the far northwest part of the county.

Winter is looming. ;)

Joe Bastardi thinks this winter could be cold and snowy.

Bastardi uses 2002-2003 and 2009-2010 as analogs.

Not much in the way of rain here in NW Harris County yesterday (just 0.06 in the rain gauge), but I did see a great Double Rainbow looking SE toward DT last evening with lightning dancing everywhere. Fortunately I had over an inch a week ago yesterday ( August 4th ) so we are doing OK up here. Perhaps generally isolated showers day as the front to our N sags a bit closer to the Coast.

Another 2.33" in Westbury last evening to add to the 3.54" last week. Closing in on 6" for August after 7.94" in July. Yard is like a wet sponge. Someone else can have some rain now...

The colder and snowier is for the East U.S. Coast. He said it may be warmer farther west (like Chicago/Minneapolis - and hopefully Houston).

The days are getting shorter. Football is in the air. A young man's fancy turns to fall. Only a short amount of time before our first real front comes through. :)

We did not get a drop. Thunder, check. Wind, check. Dark clouds, check.
