Greetings from a cool and unseasonably comfortable Baltimore. A cool front crossed the Mid Atlantic Region last night with some strong storms and brought much cooler temperatures and much lower dewpoints in the 50's. Dr. Neil Frank and I are attending. There was a last minute cancellation by Paul Kocin from a family emergency and 'Doc' Neil called this morning and graciously agreed to fill that spot and offer a second presentation. I will be posting pictures and providing updates and fingers crossed...so will 'Doc' Neil for our KHOU community. ;)

I'm looking forward to reading all of the reports from the Weather Conference.
Please tell Dr. Frank that it is a lovely 88F here in The Woodlands and KHOU reports it to be 90F!
Have a good meeting and hurry home!

It was great to introduce 'Doc' Neil to the early arriving attendees for the conference which begins tomorrow morning.

A final check in from Baltimore. We had an awesome Conference and were very fortunate to have so many great speakers. "Doc' Neil was a hit speaking on Hurricane Ike and a second presentation yesterday on Global Warming as well as Wes Junker who spoke on Jet Streaks 101 & Their Importance in Forecasting and Dr. Jeff Halverson's very informative and educational presentation of Derechos: A Mighty Wall Of Wind.
