Hey everyone,

As a frequent reader and occasional poster on this board (I know, it sounds like I'm calling into a talk radio show) I wanted to reach out to the readers here to introduce a new weather blog I am trying to get started. I figured what better place to attempt to start building a reader base than my friendly local weather forum. The goal of the blog is not necessarily to give daily weather reports, but rather to bring attention to larger weather issues and current events, as well as some of the more humorous stories in the weather world. Again, at this point it is still a fledgling little blog but I really hope to use it as an outlet for my passion for meteorology. The blog is called "How About That Weather" and is located at suzick.kinja.com. You can also follow it and me on twitter at @stephenuzick. I posted what I hope is a good "anchor" piece yesterday regarding the 17th anniversary of the Jarrell tornado and the incredible dynamics that went into its formation.

Thanks Everyone,

Stephen

With today being the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion I thought I would share a piece I wrote about how the weather played such a large role on that day.

Thought I'd share this amazing WV loop from the polar geostationary satellite. The Earth is awesome.
