I got a good feeling about Montgomery County. We will see freezing soon.

Just hit 39 here in Beaumont! Is it just me or does it seem the 30s arrived way sooner than expected?

Everyone be safe and stay warm. Getting ready to leave Downtown Houston to head home. Traffic is horrible because of the rain..So hoping it is not to long of a commute home.
Okay - I guess it was a silly question. LOL. Off to cover some plants!

Greetings, all. I'm on a road trip with a coworker. Just crossed from Alabama into Mississippi. We fly back to Houston tomorrow afternoon (maybe). As to your question about weatherbug or obs on weather underground, the temps may or may not be accurate. Thermometer exposure (height, location with respect to heat sources, etc.), along with how accurately calibrated the thermometer is will affect readings. Because of exposure and/or calibration issues, some of the temps you see from amateur weather stations may be "suspect".Kingwood31 wrote:How reliable is weather bug for temps? It's currently 38 degrees here in NW Harris County and it's drizzling steadily quite a bit. Wind is gusting....
Yep, very gusty winds over here. We just wrapped our big azalea and a couple of palm trunks.....it is COLD out there. Can't wait for some precip. Woot!
So much precip north of Houston heading east....I'm scare there won't be much precip left for the overnight hours....

The 23Z RAP suggests the precipitation field will drop further to the S and E during the overnight hours.
