Many of our members received a message stating they have been banned. Please know that this is an error related to the PHPbb Platform and the IT Team at KHOU will be working to make repairs and corrections to this issue. We know there have been major issues with spammers and hackers worldwide attempting to create problems on various platforms and PHBbb is one of the Board Platforms that have been the focus of these attacks. Many members have been restored after I made an adjustment with IP addresses, but some cannot log in. KHOU will be working tomorrow to attempt to restore a recent database backup and see if that corrects this issue. Please know that we are exploring ALL options including migrating to a new Platform. We regret that our members and those that view our Weather Community are experiencing problems, but the Weather Forum should be viewable to everyone in time. Our friends at Storm2K are also having issues and server crashes, so it is not an isolated problem strickly with our Board. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Morning Update: We worked late into the evening to attempt to 'fix' issues. Some registered members are still not able to return to our site and many un registered viewers cannot even view the site. KHOU was flooded with e--mails, so rest assured that it has the attention at the highest levels of KHOU. We are exploring our options which include a totally new platform with far more security modules and actually more options to enhance the platform we currently have. This will require some time and major $$$, but KHOU is committed to our Weather Community and they will be working into the Christmas Holidays to do what is necessary to provide us with a safe, secure and functional Weather Board. We will increase our updates on our social media feeds via Facebook... Texas Weather Board, Houston Weather Board and twitter...@KHOU Fourms.
