I believe we’ll be just fine. Rest assured that the fine folks at KHOU fully understand the importance of this weather forum and have fought vigorously to make substantial improvements and provide this platform for our weather community against many odds and cost cutting measures that have affected broadcast media over the past several years. Our dedicated server is not on Belo Corp servers, but a third party hosting company that is cloud based, meaning we are safe and secure with increased data capacities as well as increased server load to handle far more than we would likely ever use. Also know that the ‘powers that be’ at KHOU have assured me that the Weather Forum is an important strategy of their commitment to providing the most reliable and accurate Weather information for our community and the entire Gulf Coastal Region. Also know that the KHOU Weather Team fully understands the importance of the Weather Forum and what it brings to our Region. With the addition of Brooks Gardner, the KHOU Weather Team is back up to a fully staffed Gulf Coast Weather Authority. The number of views or hits to our weather forum has continued to grow and expand and that trend will continue with the expansion of our social media involvement. The KHOU Weather Forum will continue to be the Gulf Coast Weather Authority, the ‘go to place’ if you will, for good and factual weather discussions, be it severe storms, drought, floods, freezes or tropical storms.
