Hey guys, I'm finally a Senior in high school and its time for the famous "Vocational Research Paper"... 7 pages on what I would like to do in my life. I had not a clue, so i chose Meteorologist as my profession. One of the pages is required to be an interview from a professional or even semi-professional in the field.

I know we have many registered Mets floating around here, I would REALLY appreciate it if i could interview one of you guys for this section. It would be done by PM (Private Message) and it can be 10 short answer questions.

It would really be a great help to me, and i know there are some kind folks on here with just a few minutes to spare. Reply here and ill PM you my few questions.

My grade are just OK, Lower B in both, but they are honor classes. :/

If you could help me out, I just need to send about 10 questions asking about the education required, the possible employers, and the basic job you do. Seriously, our teacher doesn't need any technicalities, nor would understand them, so the questions will be simple Q and A's about the job.

Is it ok to interview you by PM?

In the search box for METAR data, put in the 4-letter ICAO (airport identifier) and choose "Translated".

Corpus Christi = KCRP
Galveston = KGLS

You'll get a report like this:

You might be able to provide him some insight about the current curriculum for met students. I got out of school in 1980. We didn't have classes with computers. Our maps were hand-plotted and analyzed (by us).
