Is this line suppose to make it this far east? HGX saying it's eastward progression will slow down.

Friendswood is already getting some very nice rain. What I like about what is showing up on radar is the first batch of moisture is followed by another. Doesn't appear to be a fast moving system. BRING IT.

What a nice sight to see on radar! It does appear the main batch or line is slowing just a touch as it progresses to the E. Activity near the Middle TX Coast looks to be increasing slightly and a nice tap of moisture continues from the EPAC as seen by activity down in S Texas. Fingers crossed that most areas in and around Houston will see some beneficial rains that last a while as the day wears on. Areas E of Metro Houston may not see rainfall totals that Western Areas receive, though. The lastest meso discussion from the SPC mentions rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches per hour in heavier showers/storms. Perhaps someone could post that meso discussion and the graphic...

Have those showers and thunderstorms made a dent in the drought yet?
what a beautiful thing http://www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/mesoanaly ... &parm=peff
Will the rain make it to the east side of town - like baytown and mont belvieu?
Dark outside - wind picking up and sprinkles...hoping it does.

Heard the rain last night, even woke me up. I had to wake my husband up just to scream "IT'S RAINING!"
Had some more nice storms this morning. Hoping for more.

Raining again in Stafford. Yay! It's coming down at a steady pace.

Thanks for the reply Srainhoutx. What a sight to see "Flood Advisory" - how long has it been since we seen on of those posted here in the SE Texas area.
How much rain have you received? My rain gauge cracked and broke apart from the summer heat - I'm asking for a new one for Christmas!

I'm not sure at my home, ticka1. I've been a bit tied up in the Medical Center since late last week.ticka1 wrote:srainhoutx wrote:It looks like things are slowly shifting E. Meanwhile a Flood Advisory has been issued until 4:30 PM for NE Brazoria, E Fort Bend, NE Galveston and SE Harris Counties
