winds are picking up pretty good here in Alvin (and have been all evening). The cloud bands rolling in made for a pretty sunset. I also see the westerly jog in the latest satellite and IR views. Srain, any chance our area could see some TS watches/warnings posted? I hope it moves just a little further west to get that rain here!

I am wondering this as well. The next couple NHC advisories should be interesting.

The next NHC update (full package discussion) is at 10:00PM. My hunch is IF they are going to make any changes re: Watches/Warnings, it would be at that hour being so close to SE TX. We will see.

This is starting to feel like our last few winter weather events. About all that is missing is Candy Cane reporting back with his inside info on the content of the next advisory!

I will gladly take them both, but I am more than willing to take a few inches of rain in exchange for missing out on any chance of winter weather this year.

Not much rain has fallen and the drought is still serious.
But any bands of rain we get will help alot before the front comes through

Rain has just begun at our house which is very close to 45 in Spring. Nothing spectacular but anything falling from the sky in a liquid form is a miracle at this point. I'm really worried about trees around our house and our foundation so here's hoping more is on the way.

Nah, won't hurt rain chances in SW Houston too much. They'll only drop a percent or two (for significant rain) -- from 1-2% to 0%.

Actually getting a very light sprinkle here at the house not. Not enough to wet the ground, but enough to fell on my skin.
