As this low wraps around, it would not surprise me to see some isolated flurries throughout all of the viewing area.
One right now entering N FT. Bend County... A little west of Katy, heading for ME *Dreams*

HGX Update...
AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
926 PM CST TUE FEB 23 2010
.DISCUSSION...
BULK OF THE MORE SIGNIFICANT PRECIP HAS SHIFTED EAST OF THE AREA.
STILL A FEW SPOTS REPORTING MODERATE SNOW SO WILL MAINTAIN CURRENT
WARNING/ADVISORY LOCATIONS FOR NOW TO PREVENT CONFUSION...BUT FOR
THE MOST PART ONLY BRIEF -SN OR FLURRIES ANTICIPATED FOR THE NEXT
2-5 HOURS. THE MAIN FOCUS NOW SHIFTS TO THE POTENTIAL FOR ROAD
ICING OVERNIGHT. TEMPS GENERALLY IN THE MID 30S (A FEW FREEZING SPOTS
ALREADY). ANOTHER FEW DEGREES OF COOLING WILL ALLOW FOR ANY
REMAINING WATER ON ELEVATED ROADS/BRIDGES TO FREEZE. HAVE
CONFIGURED THE FREEZE LINE TO RUN ALONG A LINE FROM ROUGHLY
LIBERTY TO N/W HOUSTON TO EDNA.

snowing pretty good here right now.........light to moderate but still 34 degrees! It would really be sticking if it were colder!!!!!
Question... There is abit of green/white showing up on the radar from around I10 to about Richmond. Is this producing any snow> Will it track towards pasadena at all?

Im glued to the radar on this complex. Looks like anyone between Alvin and Humble will get something if this stuff is reaching the ground. Every frame has my attention, 36F Here.

After I saw your post, I zoomed in at the radar and noticed that I was under the lighter colored portion of map. So I went outside and felt only some very light sporadic drizzle. Therefore, it seems that most of what we are seeing on radar is very light and may not even be reaching the ground. Perhaps maybe the bright yellow portion may have some heavier drizzle.
Perhaps an expert can confirm or correct me? I been following this area as well.

AggieEngr04,
I am about 20 Minutes away from hopefully being graced with a deep green cell. Thats pretty moderate. I would hope its picking up some medium flurries. I will let you know what i find.... This is a good test to see exactly which colors mean what on the radar during certain times.
EDIT: Im going to be the bullseye of whatever this blob has to bring. Shouldnt be more than 20 minutes. Horrible estimate the first go round.

Well....I have to say I was very happy about the amount of snow CLL received yesterday. I was disappointed back in December when we didn't get anything, but my patience paid off.

It continued to snow last night until around 11:00 pm. I was surprised! However, it stayed right at/just above freezing. Overall, I'd guestimate we received 3" of snow. This morning is quite stunning...bright sunshine and sparkling snow! I'm ready for spring, now...
