Just saw that today. No more links like the one to the old 10-panel MRF.srainhoutx wrote:FYI: The old NCEP Model site will be decommissioned on April 5th. Here is the new website...

New website has the high-res GFS in 3hr increments vs. 6 hrs from 0-192 hrs, as in this loop of the 12Z GFS:
http://mag.ncep.noaa.gov/NCOMAGWEB/appc ... t=Loop+All
In addition, there's a Western North Atlantic region that will be helpful when a hurricane is in the Caribbean. It's more zoomed in than the previous map that covers the whole Atlantic. Of course, the zoomed out version (whole Atlantic) is still available.
There are options to loop only the panels for 1 day, or 2, 3, 4 days, etc. Don't have to loop all 384 hrs at once. However, the panels load MUCH MUCH faster than they did before, so it's not as much of an issue.
No option for small, medium or large maps that I can see. They're all designed to work best on a 19" monitor or larger with a resolution of 1280x1024 or larger.

I spent some time on the new site this morning. I'm actually liking it the more I use it.
