Not sure this will affect metro houston but there is a possibility of a major severe weather outbreak to your north and northeast over northern louisiana and the lower to mid mississippi valley regions.i know there are some severe weather weenies here so any comments from yall are welcome....

All the heavy storms should pass well north of southeast Texas. Really only a slight risk farther northeast of us. Moisture will be limited. No major outbreak, and probably only a light sprinkle or two here.
