If you dont get rain from this, the pattern looks to stay unsettled for the foreseeable future, the heat ridge looks to stay far enough north which keeps the gulf moisture flowing into SE texas , should continue to see daily chances for scattered storms beyond this

I guess we can be excited about some cloud cover over here in SW Houston and beyond. Rain is looking less likely for us. At least the heat dome appears to be gone

It’s not over after today. Eduard’s moisture will be trapped over Texas for a few days giving us at least decent chances for rain over the next few days.

Jeff Linder seems pretty confident that the rain bands will spread west over the day

It is hard to tell, but looking at the winds/track on the myradar app, it appears the center is riding the southern side of the projected path cone. No clue just how accurate that is though as I don't know if the winds depicted are at the surface or upper levels.

With the wind riding the southern track, does that mean the system would move more westward so that west of I-45 will get some relief?
