We had a tropical shower this morning on the outflow. Houston was cooking. Now the elongated low has given up the ghost except for the East side.
Since the low never got offshore, it's not going to strengthen or dump much more on Texas wityhout thje wrap around. Louisiana tonight should see some action on that east side.
PTC1 it shall remain...

Ended up with 3.65” here. Once we get past this weekend, it looks hot and dry for the foreseeable future.

.10" here in Cypress with a breeze and off/on sunshine. Radar looks like it's fizzled out.

I guess the rains are over? Still sitting at 2” for the entire event. Odd that the TS track goes right up I-10 thru Beaumont and not an ounce of rain around it. Suns actually out here in Beaumont. Would never guess a TS/TD will be over me this evening with the sun out.

This may evolve into torrential rains over the Golden Triangle overnight. Don’t let your guard down with this one until the center is off into Louisiana.djmike wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2026 11:59 am I guess the rains are over? Still sitting at 2” for the entire event. It didn’t make much news because we roll nice and quiet up here, but lots of flooding and flooded-out vehicles in and around The Woodlands yesterday.

4.1 inches here total. More than I expected,
Another FROPA fizzles out over Texas this weekend with a modest chance of rain. Ridge building after that is iffy and mostly SE of us or SW. I see normal summer weather after the weekend. No real death ridge. Yet.
To reverse paraphrase The Simpsons: "This is the best summer...so far."

Those rice and sugar cane fields in South Louisiana are going to see more flooding than usual.jasons2k wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2026 12:20 pmThis may evolve into torrential rains over the Golden Triangle overnight.
