I’ve only gotten about half an inch so far this week. I’m not complaining much, though. We’re alright in that department for now.

Was at Wharton Little League fields Tuesday evening to watch an all star game and couldn't believe how dry they were...dusty dry. Bay City has been trying to get an all star tournament in since Monday and has been getting inches of rain every day.

Sitting mostly between showers for hours.
Tried to mow, but too much thunder... yet, the storm stalled just south of us.

Potentially periods of unsettled weather over the next 2 weeks per models and Ensembles. Moderate confidence.

Survive and advance.

Wharton got a nice rain on Wednesday. About 1.25”. I’m about 10-15 minutes outside of Wharton. Maybe today will be my turn, we’ll see. Judging by the HRRR model, I’m not very confident. I don’t see anything on there that warrants such a high chance of rain today. Looks about like yesterday, which was mainly a bust for most of the area.

If the rain can hold off for the morning hours and we can get some sun to heat things up to the upper 80’s, we’ll have a much better chance at seeing widespread heavier rains this afternoon. If not, I doubt much happens today besides a few light to moderate isolated showers.

Just enjoying the Gulf moisture without a serious cap of upper level ridge over us.

Light rain showers moving through.

A potentially wet weekend before a more summer pattern early next week.

Another FROPA could enters Texas close to the following weekend...fingers crossed for more precip.
