Line of strong thunderstorms moving southwest across the northern portions of the area. Will continue southwest with time into the evening.

We're having a nice set of showers - it looked iffy for a moment with an outflow boundary potentially taking the sails out. But backbuilding and a new set of showers from the NE will keep the sprinklers off for awhile.

Plus, starting Thursday, we have a daily chance of showers.

Absolutely terrible news, a house in cinco ranch yesterday was hit by lightning and caught on fire, house is a total loss, firefighters were injured putting out the fire, lightning sucks, and mother nature is a total bi*ch

That was a bad storm that came through there yesterday. Saw some areas got over 3” from it.

yep. As unbelievable as it is, League City hasn't gotten a single drop yet today. The convection just builds around the League City/Clear Lake area....as it does quite often lately.
Yes, we have gotten some good rain of late, but yes, this sort of thing happens too often.

Yes, we have gotten some good rain of late, but yes, this sort of thing happens too often.

I’ve seen a lot of seasonal J/J/A forecasts with us having below average rainfall…but a lot of us may hit our average June monthly totals here in the first week.

Yeah - those are worse than the WPC forecasts lately. Still hot and dry for College Station in July and August isn't much of a stretch. lol
