Southern half of the squall line on radar is looking very unimpressive and or pretty weak, not confident the line holds together, doubt i see much of anything out of this

Potential for a pretty good amount of showers north of 59/69 west of Houston. I generally assume rain east of Houston with this semi-broken line. It's going to hang together better than Thursdays line/MCS.tireman4 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2026 10:42 am From Jeff on Facebook

Line of showers and a few thunderstorms along an advancing cold front will move southeast into the afternoon and evening hours. Highest rain chances for the metro area between 300-800pm. Rainfall amounts of .25-1.5 inches through Sunday morning.
Showers linger south of I-10 into midday Sunday with much cooler temperatures.
I doubt we get anything close to Thursday's surprise 2.01 inches of rain. Everything's green for now. The first week of April and first week of October generally give us green grass and trees.
The rest of the year...not so much.

Nice line carrying the FROPA breezed through. 3.5 in/hr heavy rain for 15 minutes or so.
Things should hold together until at least NW Harris Co.

1.41 inches here. Looks like the line is kind of holding together as it moves past Houston.

.42” here so far. Slow, soaking rains is exactly what we ordered. HRRR yesterday had more overnight and into tomorrow, but looks to have moved that disturbance south. Wouldn’t be surprised to see another 1/4” to 1/2” down here through early tomorrow.
Perfect weather for Easter IMO. Kiddos baskets will be ready to go and an egg hunt if weather permits. Pork butt going on the offset stick burner later tonight using apple wood to enjoy tomorrow afternoon. Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!

Got 1.5” here. We were blessed with some much-needed rain.
