Yep. 29°F IMFY last night. That's a wrap on winter in Texas while NYC is buried under 2 feet of snow.

There's just no way in SETX will I'll be begging for a warm-up and heat. It's like these guys looking forward to cold(er) conditions in Fargo, SD. Be careful what you wish for. lol

When I'm back in NC and it's still cool/cold in late March, then I'll look forward to Spring.

Mid 90s forecast for Thursday in Austin. Spring is in like a lion. I think we had 5 days of winter.

And speaking of Kansas, the 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees are out. For the third time, Iron Maiden ( who should have been in a LONG time ago) are in there. Surprisingly, no Kansas, Boston, Styx, Three Dog Night, Dio...sigh.Rip76 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 25, 2026 8:55 amKansas, nice.DoctorMu wrote: ↑Tue Feb 24, 2026 11:48 am S25 G35.

Great bands and song. Here is a heavy metal song that has yet to be identified from the late 1980s. It is dubbed "The Fall of the King".tireman4 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 25, 2026 2:45 pmAnd speaking of Kansas, the 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees are out. I grew up on a farm and got that old school Bohemian blood in me lol we like the warm weather and hate the cold. Hell, I remember as a kid during the summers growing up, I pretty much lived outside. The heat never really bothered me except during football practice when we had to wear full pads and our helmet and back then our coaches only gave us one tiny squirt of water for an entire 2 hour practice. That was terrible.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 12:39 am Cpv17 im the opposite lol, first chance i get im moving away from the 9/12 months of non stop heat down here, ill only come outside during the night or early mornings during summer, mid day, you’ll never find me outside the house unless im at a waterpark or the beach
